Luke Bryan Talks Some Smack!

In a recent interview with Country Aircheck, Luke let us know that he’s fed up with the ‘that’s not country’ line that goes back to probably the early 2000s.

“One minute, I’m the savior of country music. The next, I’ve ruined it.”

Here’s another excerpt. This is the one where he takes kind of a broad shot at some of the old grumpy legends. ……what? I can’t call them grumpy? Why not? Anyone that takes time out of their day to criticize someone for making a living is just that. GRUMPY.

“I’ve heard legends say, ’I wish country music would go back to…’ I don’t really understand why we would spend a lot of time trying to sound like people in the 80s and 90s. I get what people are trying to say, but you have to find your own sound.”

Here’s the full interview.
